Kati bought a paper mache deer head from Hobby Lobby and asked me to make her a mount for it. I used my flexible curve ruler to design a basic mount shape and cut it out on my scroll saw. After sanding it with my random orbital sander, I used a Roman Ogee bit in my router to make it a little more authentic. Because this is being hung in my wife’s mobile vintage boutique, I added some magnets to the back to hang it in her bus and I mounted the actual deer head to the piece with some anchor screws.
What I Used:
1″ Oak board
Craftsman Scrollsaw
Random Orbit Sander (Dewalt)
Clamps
DeWalt 2-1/4 HP Router
Roman Ogee router bit
Drill (Hitachi)
Flexible Curve Ruler
Anchor/Toggle bolts
