Making Cheap and Bright DIY LED Shop Lights

January 17, 2017 by livefreeanddiy Leave a Comment

Total Project Cost: 30.63$ or 10.21$ per fixture
Compared to 50$-100$ per fixture for strip shop lights.

Plus the Daylight LED Bulbs (18 year life), which were around 9$ for 4-pack at Walmart (27$), or 2.25$/bulb, which adds 6.75$ per fixture, is still only 16.96$ per fixture replaced. Still a HUGE savings over the strip light alternatives.

What I used:
1″x6″ Pine
Round Electrical Box Cover
1-Head LED Gray Light Fixture
Miter Saw (Hitachi 10″)
Random Orbit Sander
Drill (Hitachi)
Chrome Spray Paint
Wood Screws
14 Gauge Wire for Ground
Daylight LED Bulbs
